America’s Fall – April 2017

Starting in December 2016 the Lord has spoken to me about the fall of America. He has spoken to me about the events leading to it as well as my part during that time. Most of these words are in regard to my personal walk with Him, however, there are many messages that will serve to warn everyone else as they speak of the bigger picture. These messages have increased in volume and urgency over the past months and have also included dreams and visions that I will share on this blog. Time is running out and I feel led to share these warnings with you today.

I am going to compile everything not related to my personal life and mark it by the date I received it from Him. I want to remind my brothers and sisters that our hope is found in Jesus Christ alone and this is not our home.

“For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.” – Hebrews 13:14

It is time to wake up! The hour is late and many have fallen asleep. Do not become complacent. Spend time alone with our Father in the secret place and let Him prepare you for what lies ahead! Repent and keep your eyes upon our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

As always take everything I post here to the Father in prayer. Seek confirmation from the Holy Spirit. Check it with scripture. The Lord commands us to test every word. It is only God Himself that is not to be tested.

4/8/17 – “Chaos will consume the country. If the people will listen and turn to me I will drive out America’s enemies and my remnant will be hidden for a time of peace before the end.

“Every system America depends on will be broken and destroyed. I will not hold back much longer. It is the only way to save them. Close your eyes. Do you feel it? The suffering of their souls? They do not even realize they are in darkness. They dance and sing their way into the pit. Such sorrow fills my heart for them. If they would only let me I would save them. I love them so very much. I love them as I have loved you. But, they will not see me. They will not hear me. They spit in my face. They mock me. They drag the name of my precious Son through the mud. It is with a heavy heart that I bring judgment to America. I would turn away and bring them blessings beyond measure if they would just come back to me. This must be done before it is too late for anyone to be saved. If I stay my hand they will sink so deep into sin that even shaking the earth beneath their feet will not cause them to cry out for me. Oh, how I love them.”

For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! – 2 Timothy 3:2-5

“Judgment comes for America. It breaks my heart and if she would turn back to me I would stay my hand. It grieves me. They are so deep in sin they don’t even see it as such anymore. Or they place confidence in the knowledge of men which is nothing to me. Such people will not be convinced by mere words. Oh, how I desire that they would listen! They are so easily distracted. It is too easy for them to turn away and ignore me. I will bring the entire grid crashing down. People will need to speak face to face again.”

Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say,

“He traps the wise
    in the snare of their own cleverness.”

    And again,

“The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise;
    he knows they are worthless.” – 1 Corinthians 3:18-20

“Understand how I feel about the coming judgment, my son. Feel what I feel. Know my love for the lost. I need you to understand the reason for this judgment before it happens. When these people are running, dying, and suffering I don’t want you to turn your chin up or turn away. I don’t want you to look away. I want you to weep and show them the heart of my Son, Jesus Christ. Show them MY love. True love. Many like you are crying out, “Is there no other way Lord?” If America will not repent then there is not. But, do not despair, my child. Shine the light of Jesus Christ in the darkness and those with eyes to see and ears to hear will come home to me. Then there will be a period of joy and peace again in the remnant of America. She will be small. So small that no one will care about her anymore. That in itself is a blessing in times of war.”

“You have heard the law that says, “Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.” But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. – Matthew 5:43-48

4/13/17 – “There will be chaos everywhere. I will lead you by my Holy Spirit.”

“I will not force anyone to believe in me. Even after this judgment, there will be those that refuse to come to me. Some will even curse my name. They will place the blame on me rather than their own wickedness.”

“The world is not safe. Safety is found beneath my wings. Place your faith and trust in me.”

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” – Psalm 91:4

“All electronics will be wiped away. Your phones will be useless. Your computers will be useless. There will be nothing left to distract you from me.”

“Fire is a powerful element. It consumes and destroys, and it also purifies and refines. It is the fuel of transformation. When the Holy Spirit first entered the disciples it settled on them as a tongue of fire, and they were instantly changed. Fire is coming to this nation. Many view fire as pure destruction. However, that is not my heart for my children. There will be purification and refinement coming as well. Some will be destroyed. Some will be made pure and refined into a powerful sword of righteousness.”

Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. – Acts 2:2-3

“Even though it will be a time of chaos and war, I AM still in control and my chosen remnant will endure this hardship. Many are afraid to endure real difficulties and persecution. There are many and yet there are few that will listen. You will understand. Remember this, salvation did not end at Calvary. My Son, Jesus Christ, rose three days later and because of Him you are free and have all His power and authority within you. You will rise from the ashes of war and blaze like a phoenix in the power of the Holy Spirit. Fire refines and purifies, my son. You will be walking in the fullness of your calling at that time.”

I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure. I will refine them like silver and purify them like gold. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘These are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The LORD is our God.'” – Zechariah 13:9

“You must have total dependence on me. You must dwell in my presence at all times.”

4/20/17 – “There are those that read the scriptures and believe me to be a cruel God. That is not my heart. I do not desire to reach people through judgment. If only they would turn from their wickedness and come to me. I would stay my hand.”

“The remnant of America will shine in the darkness. There will be a time of peace and revival. Then the enemy will bring persecution to her.”

4/21/17 – “Safety is found beneath my wings. Food and water will be scarce and my children will need to rely on me again just as the Israelites did in the wilderness when I brought them out of Egypt. Many do not want to hear this warning of judgment. Some deny it openly. Others have heard it and hide from me out of fear. My remnant are those that have listened and are allowing themselves to be prepared. They will walk in the Spirit when America Falls and make a way for the lost and broken.”

Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ The people who don’t know God keep trying to get these things, and your Father in heaven knows you need them. – Matthew 6:31-32

4/22/17 – “My Church has been tainted by false doctrine. There are wolves among the sheep. I cannot hold back much longer. If I do not intervene many innocent lives will be blinded by their lies. I will not let this corrupt and perverse generation steal any more children from me.”

“Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. – Matthew 7:15-20

“Many are so deep in their sin and proud of it. They rely on the wisdom of men which is nothing to me. The enemy has convinced them that neither of us exists. He has convinced them that my Son, Jesus Christ, was just a man. He has convinced them that the Holy Spirit is just an emotional experience. He is a liar and the father of lies. It is all he has ever done. Fear not, my son, for his days are numbered and I will not allow him to corrupt this nation any longer. America will fall and I will call her remnant to shine the light of Jesus Christ in the darkness to bring my lost children home.”

For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies. – John 8:44

4/23/17 – “Many have become so proud and hostile in their sin. Those in power are fueling the flames as the enemy advances his kingdom and they will be held accountable for their crimes. America will be shaken and utterly destroyed. Only a small remnant will remain.”

Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free. – Proverbs 11:21

“America has been prosperous and it is difficult for the rich to be saved. They will not listen. They have grown fat in sin and worldly comforts. I will strip their prosperity away. America’s prosperity will be gone. The electronics and machines will halt. War will be waged on her soil from the east to the west. My remnant will be hidden during the worst of the attacks.”

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I’ll say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”

The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked.

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” – Matthew 19:23-26

“I will transform my remnant and break the lost. Only then will they turn to me and even then only some.”

4/25/17 – “America’s fall is just a moment away.”

4/27/17 – “This is my heart for America. If she would turn to me and confess her sins and repent of them then I would forgive her. She does not want that. There are only a few that will respond to the call after America’s fall. The time is very close now. My remnant will be hidden as my hand passes over the nation. Trust my unseen hand.”

Praise the Lord,
    for he has shown me the wonders of his unfailing love.
    He kept me safe when my city was under attack.
In panic, I cried out,
    “I am cut off from the Lord!”
But you heard my cry for mercy
    and answered my call for help. – Psalm 31:21-22

“America will remember that I AM the Lord. She will remember that I am a loving and merciful God. My remnant will shine in the darkness. She will be small, but, pure as driven snow. She will be an example for the rest of the world to know that I AM the Lord. If they witness my remnant and are led to repentance then I will spare them. However, if they reject me and continue in their wickedness then I will deal with them as severely as I am about to deal with America.”

4/30/17 – “Time is almost up for America. War is coming soon. When America falls there will be radical changes in many people. The glitter of the world that has drawn their gaze will be removed.”

3/7/17 – “There is a war coming to the United States very soon. When the country is attacked everything will change in an instant. The war will shift everyone’s priorities. Your decisions will have more dire consequences. Listen carefully and follow me closely during these times, son.”

3/11/17 – “I have prepared places for you and other believers. I will lead you to them. When you are in danger, I will protect you. Trust not in your flesh. It is by faith in Jesus Christ that you are saved. Listen to me and walk in faith. These are dangerous and treacherous times ahead. You will need to hear my voice in your heart at all times. Grace will carry you when you fall. But, faith and obedience will further the Kingdom.”

“Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” – Galatians 5:24

“When America is broken and afraid, there will be those that are open to receiving the gospel again. The spiritual will return to America. Miracles, wonders, and healing will be done by my remnant. Thousands and thousands will be saved. Shine bright the Light of Jesus Christ in these dark times. The deeper the darkness, the brighter the light will shine for those who seek it.”

 And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.” – Mark 16:15-18

“There will be pretenders as well. Beware of them. “Peace, Peace,” they will tell you. Peace comes from dwelling in Jesus Christ. Peace on Earth will not reign until the return of my Son, Jesus Christ. So, when the enemy’s wolves say, “Relax! Do nothing and all will be well!” Do not believe them! Faith requires action! Do not be the priest or the Temple assistant that passed by the Jewish man in his time of need. Be the Good Samaritan that treated his wounds, carried him upon his donkey to a place of safety, and paid for a place of shelter for him. The Good Samaritan asked nothing in return. It will be a time when such kindness will stir the hearts of the lost and broken as they will have none of their old comforts and false securities.”

 Jesus replied with a story: “A Jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him up, and left him half dead beside the road.

“By chance, a priest came along. But when he saw the man lying there, he crossed to the other side of the road and passed him by. A Temple assistant walked over and looked at him lying there, but he also passed by on the other side.

“Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him. Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, ‘Take care of this man. If his bill runs higher than this, I’ll pay you the next time I’m here.’

“Now which of these three would you say was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by bandits?” Jesus asked.

The man replied, “The one who showed him mercy.”

Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.” – Luke 10:30-37

“The judgment falling on America is nothing to desire or rejoice in. I would rather stay my hand and have the people turn their hearts on their own. But, they will not listen. I care more about their souls than their worldly prosperity. All prosperity is given by me and can be returned at any time. A remnant of America will survive, a small fraction of its former self as most of the land will be desolate. The remainder will be washed clean and serve as a shining city on a hill for the rest of the world to witness and know that I AM Lord and that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. This is the Last Harvest. A final ray of light before Jesus Christ returns, at last, to cleanse the earth and take His bride.”

“I came naked from my mother’s womb,
    and I will be naked when I leave.
The Lord gave me what I had,
    and the Lord has taken it away.
Praise the name of the Lord!” – Job 1:21

3/17/17 – The Lord spoke to me after a dream on this day. You can find the dream that goes with this word here: Underground

“When the attacks begin I will conceal you. I will give you safe passage. No one will care where you tread. Everyone will be too busy with their own problems to care where you go or who you are as you do not have the appearance of a soldier or a terrorist. I will be turning their eyes from you. Sometimes you will hide in quiet, isolated places. Other times you will be with other believers. There will be secret places within abandoned buildings and construction sites. These will serve as schools, churches, and hospitals as those on display as such will be targeted for destruction. They are just buildings, remember that, son. It is my people that are the Church. My people will learn what it means to truly have fellowship with each other and to work as one body. ”

For in the day of trouble, He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. – Psalm 27:5

3/19/17 – “The world will cry “Destruction!”, but my Church will cry, “Salvation!”

3/25/17 – “Don’t listen to those that tell you everything is fine. They have never lived in danger and they speak with a spirit of fear. Nor should you listen to those that proclaim darkness and destruction with no cry of hope and repentance. If America would turn from sin and trust me to bless her again, I would do it. However, I know the hearts of the people. They trust in their own wisdom over my own.”

“There will be a brief period of peace after the war for my remnant. She will remain hidden for a time. Now is not the season of peace. America must be broken.”

“I will not tell you the day of America’s fall. If I told you then you would become obsessed. You would stop listening and try to prepare yourself rather than let me prepare you. You must rely on faith and trust in me alone.”

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” – Deuteronomy 31:8

3/27/17 – “People will be hurt, heartbroken, and lost. This won’t be like trying to witness to someone at the supermarket. This will take total dependence on me. Show them the love of Jesus Christ.”

3/29/17 – “My children must be ready to combat the darkness. For you are not alone. When my warriors are revealed you will not stand alone. Each of you is here for a special purpose.”

12/19/16 – “America will fall. People are going to be scared and broken. Lost. Many will wish for death and some will pursue it. People will look to you for answers. There will be others. I will protect those I have chosen for this time. My children that were not listening to my warnings will look to them. Some of my children will be brought home out of mercy. The rest of the country will be purged with fire. Few will survive.”

“America is a place of sin and depravity now. It breaks my heart. I don’t want it this way. I’ve warned America so many times to stop or her enemies will destroy her. They have abandoned the only one that can save them.”

The Rapture

4/28/17

I had a very intense dream on this night. It was quite unusual and I still haven’t received a full understanding of it from the Lord.

When the dream began I was no longer at home with my family. I was at a strange house with my parents. It was different than their current home so I wasn’t sure of our exact location. There was a real sense of danger in this dream. I approached my step-father and asked him if he had a gun because we needed to arm ourselves. He led me into the kitchen and pulled down two cereal boxes. Beneath the bags inside of them were two guns, a 9mm, and a revolver. He gave them to me and told me, “You’ll have to figure out how to use them. I want nothing to do with it.” Then he retreated upstairs where my mother was hiding out.

I found some ammo boxes and tried to figure out how to load the revolver when I heard someone break through one of the windows in the living room. I retreated down a hallway and slipped into a closet where I fumbled with the only bullet I managed to hold onto and tried to load the revolver. I know nothing about guns and it was a real struggle. I could hear two men talking in deep, low voices as they ransacked the kitchen.

I finally managed to get the bullet into the cylinder and slowly exited the closet. I crept into the kitchen and watched as two men dressed in tribal clothing were piling their spoils on the kitchen table. I had this strange sense that they were cannibals and were plotting to eat us. I couldn’t understand their words.

One of them was much larger and wore a headdress so I assumed he was the leader. I crept up behind them and pointed the barrel of the revolver at the leader’s head. I pulled the trigger and with a loud bang, he dropped to the floor. His partner panicked and ran into the living room and out the front door.

After taking a moment to calm down I ran to the front door and peeked outside. I could see the entire city engulfed in flames. Complete and total destruction. It looked like the entire world was on fire. There was a horde of these tribal people marching away from the city in the direction of our house. Thousands upon thousands of them.

I slammed the front door shut and ran back into the kitchen, searching for the ammo boxes. They were gone. In a panic, I scrambled around the house trying to find more bullets or some sort of weapon. Something. Anything. I could hear the chaos outside getting louder so I ran to the door to look again.

The army of tribals was getting closer, but, they weren’t marching toward us. They were fleeing the destruction. The city was completely decimated and it seemed like the destruction was moving toward us.

Then I saw two old men with long, flowing beards in sackcloth calling out warnings to the people, “You cannot escape the wrath of God! Even if you flee you will not escape judgment!” A spout of flame erupted from their mouths when they spoke these words. Oddly, I did not feel threatened by them. I had the sense they were on our side. So, I retreated inside again to tell my parents what was going on.

I ran upstairs and found them in one of the bedrooms. I told my step-father, “The city has been destroyed. I think we should leave. There’s nothing left for us here.” He nodded and started to voice his agreement when suddenly our backs arched and these blue, glowing spheres shot up out of our bodies and straight through the ceiling into the sky. It was the strangest sensation I’ve ever felt. It was like an unseen hand had grabbed me and pulled me straight up at an incredible speed. As I rose higher and higher I had the realization that I was one of those blue spheres and that my body had been left behind or destroyed.

Eventually, I stopped and found myself in a strange place. It looked like a giant arcade of some kind. I was sitting on a stool with an arcade machine in front of me. I looked around and noticed that there were rows and rows of these machines with a person assigned to each one of them. I looked behind me and saw a young woman sitting at a machine of her own.

“Where am I?” I asked her. “I’m not sure.” She responded. “Well, what are we doing here?” I asked. “I have no idea.” She told me. Something didn’t feel right about that place. I knew that I should be in heaven and this didn’t feel like heaven to me. “How do I get out of here? I need to get to heaven.” I asked the woman. She shrugged, “I don’t know. Some believe that if you play enough games you can earn a place in heaven. I’ve never seen it done as long as I’ve been here. Still, you might as well play, there’s nothing else to do here.” She returned to her game, clearly finished with the conversation.

I turned to my own machine and frowned. I started to play a game and while I did I was very confused. I thought to myself, “This isn’t right. Playing games won’t get me to heaven. There’s only one way to heaven and that’s believing in Jesus.” As soon as I had that revelation I shot up out of my body again as a blue sphere and continued on my way.

I continued up until I was in space and it was there that I stopped again. It was strange, I had something like a body, but, it felt very floaty and ethereal. That’s the best I can explain it. My parents were there and I was so happy to see them. I knew I was in the right place. I felt an immense relief. There were three other people there with us. Morgan Freeman, whom I could feel was the Father. Judi Dench, whom I could sense was the Holy Spirit. And Jesus, who looked like Himself, although I could not see His face.

It was very weird. I found myself drawn to Jesus. I wanted to see His face. But, He was completely occupied. I followed His gaze and He was staring at the Earth and it was on fire in many areas. There was chaos all over the entire planet. The tone became very serious and I knew something very important was about to happen.

There was a flash of light and I had another short dream that was personal and encouraged me to reach out to a family member of mine. I’m not sure if I woke up in between these two dreams because they didn’t seem to be related at all.

End of dream.

So, yeah, a very unusual dream. I’ve asked the Lord for an interpretation and He has explained parts of it to me. I’ve largely left it on the shelf until He gives me greater clarity about it.

He did tell me about the tribal people representing the sort of lawless men that will be on the streets in the end times. He also told me about how I had given into fear and that I was to trust Him for provision and protection during attacks.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:19

My mother purchased a revolver shortly after this dream. I told her about the dream and as it turns out, the revolver she bought is the same one from my dream. Same design. Same color. I even held it to make sure and it had the same weight and everything. It actually felt familiar. That was very strange indeed.

The destruction was very straightforward. He didn’t tell me much about the two old men. I don’t know if they have anything to do with the two witnesses in Revelation.

The Rapture itself was incredible and the main reason I wanted to share this dream. Shortly after I had this dream the Lord led me to this video. I literally stumbled upon it seemingly by accident. I think someone had posted it in a random article I was reading or something, I can’t remember, I just know I wasn’t looking for it.

 

This is exactly what happened in my dream. I have no idea where this clip comes from and I have never seen it before, but, I was in tears watching it. Even the little blue spheres shooting up into the sky was the same. I’m not saying that this is what the Rapture will be like or anything. I have no idea. I just know that it matched my dream exactly.

 We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. So encourage each other with these words. – 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

The arcade was about how good works will not earn us a place in heaven. It is through Jesus Christ alone that we are saved. He is the bridge. That is the reason that when I had that revelation I was immediately freed from that place.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. – Ephesians 2:8-9

The part in space was about being caught up to Jesus, again very straightforward. I believe that the Father appearing as Morgan Freeman and the Holy Spirit as Judi Dench was just to keep my mind focused on Jesus. I don’t think those two actors have anything to do with the dream.

It was very strange. I’ve had many dreams, visions, and words from the Lord regarding a remnant when America falls so this may have been at a later time during the tribulation. It may have just been to teach me something. It was a bit confusing, so, I have largely shelved it until I receive an interpretation from the Lord. If you have that gift, by all means, have a crack at it.

I think the main focus here is that it all comes down to Jesus. In the end, we will be with Him and that is a very encouraging thought. The joy that filled my soul at the thought of being caught up in the sky to be with Him was indescribable. He is so good. Come to Him if you don’t know Him already.

 

Dancing into the Pit

This was a few months ago and the Lord spoke to me as He showed me this vision. This is what He said:

“Every system America depends on will be broken and destroyed. I will not hold back much longer. It is the only way to save them. Close your eyes. Do you feel it? The suffering of their souls? They do not even realize they are in darkness. They dance and sing their way into the pit. Such sorrow fills my heart for them. If they would only let me I would save them. I love them so very much. I love them as I have loved you. But, they will not see me. They will not hear me. They spit in my face. They mock me. They drag the name of my precious Son through the mud. It is with a heavy heart that I bring judgment to America. I would turn away and bring them blessings beyond measure if they would just come back to me. This must be done before it is too late for anyone to be saved. If I stay my hand they will sink so deep into sin that even shaking the earth beneath their feet will not cause them to cry out for me. Oh, how I love them.”

The vision:

As the Lord spoke I saw a vast plain. The earth was blackened and cracked. There was no vegetation or animal life save for a few skeletal trees the color of charcoal. There were flames still burning everywhere. The entire sky was consumed in a dark, violent storm. In the center of the plains, there was a massive, circular pit, it was pitch black and seemed to have no bottom.

I stood with Jesus and watched a horrifying scene unfold. There were people dressed in tribal clothing, covered in war paint and tattoos. They were wild. You could actually feel it. It was a tangible presence. They were dancing and singing with each other, marching along toward the pit. As they reached the edge, they just walked off and vanished with a scream. Those behind them took no notice of their distress and followed them down.

Jesus called out to them, beckoning them to come to Him. They wouldn’t listen. He fell to His knees and cried out to them over and over, tears streaming down His face. For a moment, He allowed me to feel a fraction of His grief and it brought me to my knees. Then the grief started to fade and He started to get angry, and I mean furious, it was so startling that I was pulled out of the vision.

Jesus wept. – John 11:35

I was in tears after this vision. These people were so lost in sin that they were literally dancing and singing their way into hell. They didn’t even recognize their sin as evil. They embraced it. And the  Lord has had enough of it. I don’t think we truly understand God’s wrath. I don’t believe He wants to destroy sinners as some people will tell you. It’s the sin. It’s destroying us and He loves us so much. He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ to die for that sin and raised Him to new life to give us new life.

For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! – 2 Timothy 3:2-5

If you’re a parent you can probably understand how he feels at least somewhat. If your child is being hurt whether it be from another person or themselves doesn’t it make you angry? Doesn’t it make you want to protect them? Doesn’t it make you want to save them? If you’re not a parent, think of a close friend or family member. Wouldn’t you do the same? I believe God’s judgment is a mercy to keep us from destroying ourselves and each other. It’s a wake-up call.

The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed but wants everyone to repent. – 2 Peter 3:9

The Lord spoke to me again later in the day:

“Judgment comes for America. It breaks my heart and if she would turn back to me I would stay my hand. It grieves me. They are so deep in sin they don’t even see it as such anymore. Or they place confidence in the knowledge of men which is nothing to me. Such people will not be convinced by mere words. Oh, how I desire that they would listen! They are so easily distracted. It is too easy for them to turn away and ignore me. I will bring the entire grid crashing down. People will need to speak face to face again.”

“Understand how I feel about the coming judgment, my son. Feel what I feel. Know my love for the lost. I need you to understand the reason for this judgment before it happens. When these people are running, dying, and suffering I don’t want you to turn your chin up or turn away. I don’t want you to look away. I want you to weep and show them the heart of my Son, Jesus Christ. Show them MY love. True love. Many like you are crying out, “Is there no other way Lord?” If America will not repent then there is not. But, do not despair, my child. Shine the light of Jesus Christ in the darkness and those with eyes to see and ears to hear will come home to me. Then there will be a period of joy and peace again in the remnant of America for a brief time. She will be small. So small that no one will care about her anymore. That in itself is a blessing in times of war.”

The Lord is so patient with us. He gives us so many chances. He always warns us before judgment comes because He truly loves us and wants everyone to be saved through His Son, Jesus Christ. Sound the alarm! Repent! Time is running out! This isn’t the time to be idle and pretend as if America will endure forever. Every empire has fallen. Pride is America’s greatest sin. Our loyalty is to Jesus Christ above all others. He is our only hope! Come to Him!

Underground

I had this dream a few months ago during a period of time when the Lord instructed me to write down my dreams. I had several intense dreams and will share those that the Lord leads me to post here.

This is the dream:

When it started I was walking through an office building that did not appear to be in use for it’s intended purpose. The cubicles had been shifted to form distinct sections and there were papers scattered all over the floor. Each section had something different going on.

One section had people on stretchers. I remember seeing people with various injuries. I also distinctly remember IV bags. It appeared to be a hospital or roughly thrown together first aid area.

Another section was filled with children bunched together in small groups with an adult reading to them and watching over them as they worked. It was definitely some sort of school or teaching area. It seemed to be for both Biblical and practical application.

The last section I remember was more hidden and it had people in prayer circles. Some were laying hands on people. Others were singing and praising the Lord. Some seemed to be talking very seriously while standing over a large table covered in maps and important documents. It seemed to be a church meeting place.

There also seemed to be people that I felt were messengers or couriers moving food, water, and other resources around, in, and out of the building. There was a lot going on and I felt that I belonged as no one seemed to mind my presence or cared which room I entered.

As I moved through the building to the exit I entered another area that appeared to be a building under construction. Abandoned tools and hard hats. Half-constructed walls and what-not. I remember those long, plastic sheets you see hanging in them very clearly. It was the same set up as the other place. A school, hospital, and church all wrapped into one.

The next area was an abandoned building, followed by an abandoned factory, then a very dark place that might have been an underground parking garage. All the same, all containing a hospital, school, and church.

I remember asking the Lord during this vision why nobody seemed to care that I was moving around these places and He said, “You will be hidden in plain sight. At first, during the worst of the chaos, nobody will care where you go or what you do because they will be too busy panicking, trying to take care of themselves and their loved ones.” I woke up soon after this and recall nothing else after it.

This is the word the Lord spoke to me after the dream:

“When the attacks begin I will conceal you. I will give you safe passage. No one will care where you tread. Everyone will be too busy with their own problems to care where you go or who you are as you do not have the appearance of a soldier or a terrorist. I will be turning their eyes from you. Sometimes you will hide in quiet, isolated places. Other times you will be with other believers. There will be secret places within abandoned buildings and construction sites. These will serve as schools, churches, and hospitals as those on display as such will be targeted for destruction. They are just buildings, remember that, son. It is my people that are the Church. My people will learn what it means to truly have fellowship with each other and to work as one body. ”

From what God told me it seems that we will be hiding in plain sight as well as underground. Perhaps we will have what seem to be businesses, factories, and labor camps on the surface and are in fact underground refuges for persecuted Christians as well as those that need our help. This would make sense if lined up with prophecies that indicate that we will be occupied by Chinese and/or Russian soldiers.

Other places such as the construction site might just be places that nobody would bother to look for us. I think it will be a mix of totally underground churches and churches hidden in plain sight, masquerading as the places I listed above.

The hour is late and times will be hard, but, it is encouraging that even in the darkest of times the Lord is preparing a place of refuge for us beneath his mighty wings. There is always hope. It may be America’s darkest hour, but, it will be the brightest for Jesus Christ’s true followers, his remnant, as we shine a light for the injured, the lost, the hungry, and the sick.

Then I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds so they did not blow on the earth or the sea, or even on any tree. And I saw another angel coming up from the east, carrying the seal of the living God. And he shouted to those four angels, who had been given power to harm land and sea, “Wait! Don’t harm the land or the sea or the trees until we have placed the seal of God on the foreheads of his servants.” – Revelation 7:1-3

Few in America have shared the gospel in such a way. Usually, it’s just the missionaries that bring the gospel to dark places, those places of evil with starvation, witchcraft, horrendous disease, poverty, violence, and destitution that we can scarcely imagine in our cozy country. The mission is going to be on your doorstep, brothers, and sisters.

Be prepared in the physical and most importantly the spiritual. Repent. Dwell in the secret place with our Father. Even if your home is destroyed the Lord will provide for you. He can send wild animals to bring you food as he did with Elijah. He can make it so your supply multiplies and never runs out. He can do anything. Nothing is impossible. Be ready to see healing, miracles, and wonders on a level the West has not seen in ages. All you need is faith the size of a mustard seed.

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

“And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. – Matthew 6:25-33

“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” – Matthew 17:20

Hard Questions – Part Two

In Part One of this series we posed the question:

“Why did God allow me to be abused?”

So far, we have addressed this question on the basis that God wants all people to be saved through His Son, Jesus Christ. In this case, abuser and victim. From that point, we have shown that it is impossible for us to understand the complexity of the choices and events in our lives and how they affect us, those around us, and mankind as a whole. We also stated that there is far more to life than what we experience in our lives on Earth. Sadly, pain and suffering are a part of it.

Of course, this only raises more questions. God’s ability to handle the infinite complexity of choices and events, deciding whether or not to allow something to occur, is not going to be of much comfort to an abuse victim or to anyone that has suffered for that matter. The next question to be asked would probably be either, “Why would God want to save the abuser?” or “Why does evil exist?”

Both of these questions can be answered if we examine the origin of sin. This will also address many other questions that we are asked. “Why am I a sinner if it was Adam and Eve that sinned?” “Why do we exist?” “What is the purpose or meaning of life?”

God created us in His image to love Him and be loved by Him. That is our purpose. That is the meaning of life. That’s it. Earth was meant to be a paradise and we were meant to be the caretakers of that paradise alongside our loving God.

²⁶ Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”

²⁷ So God created human beings in his own image.
    In the image of God he created them;
    male and female he created them.

²⁸ Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

²⁹ Then God said, “Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food. ³⁰ And I have given every green plant as food for all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, and the small animals that scurry along the ground—everything that has life.” And that is what happened.

³¹ Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!

– Genesis 1:26-31

I stated in Part One that you cannot have real love without free will. This is a simple truth that I believe most of us can understand. You cannot force a person to love you. And something that has been programmed to respond without any choice cannot truly love you. Try telling a chatbot like Siri “I love you”. Does it’s automated response strike you as real love? No, of course not. It has no choice. It can’t choose to love you.

In order to have a relationship of love with us, God had to give us the choice to not love Him. How did He do that? He placed two trees in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. The first human beings.

The Lord God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground—trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit. In the middle of the garden, he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. – Genesis 2:9

God then informed mankind of the choice and the consequences of not choosing Him.

The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die. – Genesis 2:15-17

This is where some people might say that God is a bully and that isn’t really a choice at all. They misunderstand. It is just a fact for one simple reason. God IS life. You cannot have life apart from Him. If you are separated from life then what do you have? Death.

Let me use another example. Light and darkness cannot occupy the same space. Why? To put it simply, Darkness is the absence of light. It is the same here. Death is the absence of life and God IS life.

So, we have the Tree of Life that represents life, love, relationship, and dependence on God. Then we have the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil that represents death, independence, and separation from God.

Let’s take a moment to examine the name of the second tree. The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Weird, right? Why not just call it the Tree of Death or the Tree of Evil? That is because God is good and God is life. No death or evil exists in Him. It cannot. So, mankind must choose it if he wants it because it is not found in God. The tree is not death or evil incarnate it is the choice to go down that path.

Mankind is given this choice and most of us know how he responded.

The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

“Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. “It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”

“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”

The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.

When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees. Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” – Genesis 3:1-9

Those three words from the mouth of God are heartbreaking to me. “Where are you?” It marks our separation from Him. The first question is probably, “Alright, what is going on with the snake?” That is Lucifer. Satan. The Devil. The Old Serpent. The Dragon. The Morning Star. He has a lot of names. He and his army of fallen angels are the enemies of mankind.

Lucifer is an angel that fell in the same way as mankind. He wanted independence from God. More than that, he wanted to be God. He made that choice and he deceived mankind into making the same choice. Some might say, “Well, then it’s his fault!” Is it? If someone tells us to do something wrong and we do it, isn’t it our choice to listen to them or not? Indeed it is our choice. We’ll address the agenda of the enemy another time. Let’s get back on track.

So, mankind sins by disobeying God and chooses independence from God. He is now aware of good and evil. He becomes the judge of his own life. Before he ate from the tree he could not do evil. He was not aware of it. Now he can choose to do good or evil. However, this separation has immediate consequences because as I said earlier to be separated from life is to die. Now, man did not drop dead instantly. He is still made in the image of God. But, eventually, he will now die. His life will fade away. God has to cast him out of the Garden of Eden. God is life and death cannot be a part of Him.

Mankind is now separated from life and the rest of the Earth is now cursed along with him and starts to die as well. We can see evidence of that today. So many extinct species. So much pollution and destruction. Disease, disorders, and disasters. This is not how the world was meant to be my friends.

What is a sin? What is evil? It is everything that God is not. It is disobedience to God. It is a perversion of His design. It is deciding for ourselves what is right and wrong. And because we are separated from God we cannot stop doing it! When Adam and Eve ate from the tree they became sinners. That is their identity.

When people ask, “Why am I a sinner if it was Adam and Eve that started it?” You are a sinner because your father and mother are sinners and it is traced all the way back to Adam and Eve. It would be like asking a duck why it is a duck. It’s a duck because it came from a duck. All of mankind are sinners because we all came from sinners.

We can see the effects of sin as soon as Adam and Eve leave the garden. They have two sons. Cain and Abel offered sacrifices to God. Abel gave his best and Cain did not so his offering was rejected.

 “Why are you so angry?” the Lord asked Cain. “Why do you look so dejected? You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”

One day Cain suggested to his brother, “Let’s go out into the fields.”And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother, Abel, and killed him. – Genesis 4:6-8

God warns Cain that sin will control him if he chooses to do it. However, because mankind are now sinners Cain decides for himself what is right and kills his brother. And people have been killing each other and committing numerous other sins since then.

So, why does God want to save the abuser and the victim? Because they are both sinners. Both have fallen short. Neither measures up and we will go into greater detail on that. It makes no sense to man because we have become our own judge and we weigh sins on our own scales. There are greater and lesser sins, however, while using a cuss word is not the same as beating someone both have separated us from God. Both have offended him. Both will lead to death.

We’ll go deeper into this as we continue the series. Again, I want to urge you to turn to Jesus Christ. I will go into greater detail on salvation. However, to put it as simply as I can in the context of this subject, God sent Jesus to die for those sins and to put an end to our sinner nature. He is the answer to this neverending cycle of death that we live in. He was raised to new life so that you can have it and you can experience it right now if you will come to Him. I urge you to do just that.

Hard Questions – Part One

Last night I found myself thinking about how it can sometimes be difficult to answer those hard questions that non-believers always seem to ask us. Questions we may have pondered ourselves. I know I have both before and after I started to follow Jesus.

I found myself running through a dialogue with what I might say to such a person in my head and the Holy Spirit filled me with insight that I’ve never had before on these subjects. Today I was planning on sharing some more visions and prophetic words that I received a few months ago, However, I can’t seem to shake this line of thought and feel led to share these insights with you here. God’s plans are not our plans so I’m just going to submit to His lead. Always the right choice. Trust me.

So, in this conversation I imagined, the subject of faith came up and I shared that I am a Christian and that I believe in Jesus Christ. This person immediately claimed that God does not exist. I asked the person, “Why do you say that?” Their response was one that I think all believers have heard or asked themselves at some point. “If God exists and He is good then why did He allow “____” to happen to me?” or for those that have not suffered too many hardships the broader question is usually, “If God exists and He is good then how can He allow “____” to happen in the world?” or “How can God if He exists and is good allow evil to exist?”

In this case, the person had been physically abused as a child. So, we are going to use this example to address this question.

“Why did God allow me to be abused?”

This will require us to address several different areas in order to answer it completely.

We have to begin with this truth, God wants everyone to be saved. He wants everyone to come to Jesus Christ. He loves every human being on this planet and wants every single one of us to come to Him. From the least to the greatest. From the most despicable to the most saintly among us. That in itself is a hard pill to swallow for most people and we will address that later in this series.

“The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” – 2 Peter 3:9

This verse is in regards to Jesus Christ’s return. However, it clearly states that God wants everyone to repent and believe in Jesus Christ. That is the reason for His delay. He isn’t late. He wants everyone to have a chance to repent.

Now, with this knowledge let us try in our finite human understanding to imagine why God would allow someone to be abused. Again, I am using abuse as an example when it can really be applied to any evil or misfortune.

God does not experience time as we experience it. Past, present, and future are all laid out before Him. As it says in Psalm 139:

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
    and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
    Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
    as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born.
    Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
    before a single day had passed. – Psalm 139:13-16

I want you to think about that for a moment. He saw you before you were born. Every day of your life has been recorded. So, let us try to imagine as an all-knowing, all-powerful, ever-present being how we could accomplish our goal of saving EVERYONE that would allow us to save them.

So, here we have this situation where a young child is being abused and we want to save the child’s soul and the abuser’s soul. We have given mankind free will and sadly, this is the choice the abuser has made. We cannot take away free will because if we did that then nobody could choose Jesus Christ. You cannot have real love without choice. Again, something we will address later in the series.

However, we could intervene and stop the abuse. Let’s pause here. I want to remind you that God can see all of history and time at once and will know the effect any given moment will have on all of Creation. If you are familiar with the Butterfly Effect you will understand what I am talking about.

“The butterfly effect is the concept that small causes can have large effects. Initially, it was used for weather prediction but later the term became a metaphor used in and out of science.” – Wikipedia

Let me use an illustration and you will begin to see how incredibly complex this becomes and how we are severely limited in making and understanding these connections.

Scenario: A young boy is walking home from school, tossing a baseball in the air as he goes along. He notices a decrepit house that he has seen dozens of times before and is certain that no one lives in it. He has the sudden urge to throw his baseball through one of the windows.

Choice A: The boy throws the baseball -> The window breaks -> An angry, elderly man emerges from the house -> Boy runs home -> Elderly man reports the boy to the police -> While boy is home he receives a call from a friend -> Friend asks boy to bring his baseball to a nearby park for a game as they have lost the one they were using -> Boy cannot help them as his baseball is gone and hangs up -> Police arrive and boy’s parents pay for the damages -> Boy is punished by cleaning up the old man’s property -> The boy befriends the old man

I could go on and on forever about how this one choice altered this boy’s life. And yes, I realize this is extremely cheesy and has been done in film. But, it serves to illustrate my point. Now, what if the boy changed his mind and decided not to throw the baseball?

Choice B: The boy does not throw the baseball -> He goes home as usual -> One of his friends calls him up -> Friends asks him to bring his baseball to the park for a game as they have lost the one they were using -> Boy leaves for the park -> Boy joins in the game -> He ends up playing with a kid he has never met -> They become friends

Again. Pure Cheese. However, we can see how one choice drastically altered this boy’s day. His entire world inside and out would be different after that. We didn’t even address how these events would change the boy’s inner world. His thoughts. His beliefs. His emotions. Our choices, actions, friendships, and life events are constantly changing who we are, how we develop, and the path our life takes us.

Neither did we address the myriad of details in each of these tiny moments that could have changed other things in this boy’s life. This is just one tiny, seemingly meaningless event.

We also did not address how this would affect everyone else involved in this boy’s choice! Imagine being able to see every single one of those moments for every single person in the entirety of human history at the same time and how they intertwine. Do you have a headache, yet? It can’t be done by us. Thank God that we aren’t Him!

A lot of people argue that such a small event couldn’t possibly affect mankind that much. They might say something like, “Michael, come on, it’s not like this kid was going to grow up and be the president or something.” Let me first say that there is no way for a person to know that because of how incredibly complex this branching of events becomes after just one moment. Could we make an estimate based on the person’s intelligence, class, background, ethnicity, etc. on the likelihood of them becoming president? Sure. But, the accuracy of such a guess could not be reliably measured, especially from a young age. Such a prediction might get more accurate as a person gets older, but, really it’s all speculation in the end. Look at our current President. He was a businessman and a reality TV star. Reagan was a comedian.

Anyway, it doesn’t really matter because our thoughts are not God’s thoughts. He cares about our hearts. The changes in the heart of that boy and those around him and whether or not that event would lead him and those around him closer to hearing the Gospel and encountering Jesus Christ is far more important than him becoming president.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. – Isaiah 55:8

So, does God cause people to abuse other people? No. Does He allow it and use it for a greater purpose sometimes? Yes. Why? Because He loves us, all of us, and there is more waiting for us beyond this life. One of the biggest issues blocking a person from understanding this truth is that they believe living this life on Earth is as good as it gets so anything bad happening to us is unacceptable. My friends, it is not true. There is more joy, love, and life to be lived after this than we can possibly imagine and Jesus Christ is the bridge to that life. And you can begin to experience that life, right here, right now if you believe in Him. Come to Him.

Into the Deep

This is another vision the Lord showed me a few years ago around the same time as the other I posted by the name, “An Old Friend”.

The vision began on the beach with Jesus again at my side. He led me to the edge of the water and we dipped our toes into it. There was something about the ocean that touched me in that moment. The vastness and depth of it overwhelmed me and I was hesitant to enter into it. I looked at Jesus with skepticism and with some encouragement from Him, we stepped in, splashing our feet and talking idly to each other.

After a time He led me deeper in, up to our knees and the power of the waves nearly toppled me over. This was no ordinary ocean. I could feel the power of God in it. He revealed to me that the ocean represented His presence. Jesus steadied me with a hand on my shoulder and we continued forward.

The water was up to my waist at that point and the current began to drag me deeper into His presence. I held onto Jesus at that point so I didn’t get swept away and drown. I should probably mention that I am not a huge fan of the ocean so that in itself was a test.

Jesus essentially took over at that point, moving deeper until I was clinging to his neck to keep from going underwater. It was then that He told me it was time to take the plunge and with a little more encouragement from Him we immersed ourselves. After a few moments, we returned to the surface and I felt free and full of joy. All of my hesitation was gone.

At this point, Jesus started to teach me how to swim. I copied everything that He did and over time I became more dependent on Him and more like Him in my movements. Eventually, as I grew stronger and more confident He swam onward and I followed Him. The shore was far behind us.

We swam for awhile and then we came upon a new land, walking onto the shore. He told me that this is His kingdom. I caught only a glimpse of it before the vision ended. I just remember that the colors were more vibrant and lush than anything I had ever seen before. It felt like Home.

So, what was this vision about? It had a very similar theme to the vision I had received two weeks earlier. It was about trusting Jesus and entering into the Father’s presence. Jesus is the only way to the Father. He is the only way into heaven. The Father is calling to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. Without Him, I am certain that I would have drowned.

⁶ Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. – John 14:6

It was also a representation of baptism.

Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? ² Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? ³ Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death?⁴ For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. – Romans 6:1-4

The beach at the beginning of the vision was the old way of life, the sinful life. Entering the water with Jesus and being immersed represented how we are crucified with Jesus Christ. When He died for our sins, they were paid for by His blood AND our old, sinful selves were crucified with Him. And just as he was raised to life, we were raised to new life with Him. It’s done. As Jesus said on the cross, “It is finished!” He’s done it all! Thank God for Jesus Christ!

That was the reason I felt so free and full of joy. Now because we still have our old, sinful bodies while we’re here on earth we have to submit them to the Holy Spirit which enters us after we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. That was the process of learning to depend on Him, learning to swim as He did and to follow Him wherever He led me. The greater our dependence on Jesus the more He shines through us. Then when we reach the end of the race and arrive in heaven we will be given new, glorified bodies just like Jesus after the resurrection. This is what it means to “Walk in the Spirit”.

An Old Friend

This is a vision that the Lord showed me a few years ago and is the first that I can recall Him showing me. I wrote down several details about it and I feel led to share it with you.

The vision began in a dense forest with Jesus leading me down a dirt path by the hand. He told me, “I do not want you to run ahead of me in an attempt to reach my promises before the time has come for them to be fulfilled. Let me lead you along the path. Let me take your hand in mine. Let me show you the wonders around you.”

At this point we paused and He directed me to some flowers that were growing on the side of the road of all colors and varieties. We watched them dance in the breeze and smelled their sweet fragrance.

He then pointed up to the treeline and we watched as a beautiful robin flew among the branches, singing it’s heart song.

Jesus pointed to our feet after this and it was only then I noticed that we were barefoot. We took some time just to feel the rich earth beneath our feet. I remember it was very dark and soft.

After this, we walked for a bit until an open meadow appeared on the side of the path filled with all sorts of woodland creatures. Deer, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, etc. Jesus ran off into the field and played with the animals, inviting me to join him. I cannot fully express the peace and joy that radiated from him in that moment.

Eventually, we returned to the path and He spoke to me again, “Let us above all else talk to each other and grow so close that by the time we reach the end of the road we will be as old friends, and when you are too tired and old to continue I will carry you on my back and bring you home so you can rest. The journey is a beautiful adventure, my son. Don’t rush it.”

During this conversation, I felt myself aging rapidly until I was an old man with white hair. Just as He said that He would carry me to the end, He did just that. He lifted me up like a child and carried me on His back until we reached the end of the path which was engulfed in light so bright that I could see nothing beyond it. This was the end of the vision.

Now, let me explain the meaning of this vision as He revealed it to me years ago. At the time of this vision, I had just started hearing from the Lord and I was so excited that I would take whatever He told me and try to run ahead and fulfill the promise myself or apply whatever lesson He taught me without Him. Let me warn you, my friends, that is impossible. We can accomplish nothing in the flesh and I mean nothing. God will fulfill His promises and the Holy Spirit is our teacher and He is a constant companion.

That is the purpose of this vision. Despite being a bit of a goofball on the outside I am actually very serious, broody, and emotional on the inside. I am not the stop to sniff the flowers sort of person. As I said, I would either run ahead or get frustrated and stumble, sitting on the ground to brood and complain. The only way forward is to cling to Jesus and follow Him. A lesson I am still learning to today.

Needless to say, I was undone by this vision. Jesus has this incredible ability to completely break open our hardened hearts if we will let Him. The peace, joy, and love that radiated from Jesus are impossible for me to fully describe to you.

So, what can we learn from this vision?

First, there is no getting ahead of Jesus. The scriptures tell us to follow the Holy Spirit and we must do just that. The flesh can do nothing. That old man/woman died with Jesus on the cross. We must stay in the secret place with our Father all the time and let Him direct our steps in all things.

Second, if you stumble and fall He will not leave you. Every time I have gotten stuck He will turn and meet me where I am, waiting patiently with His hand extended. I cannot overstate how much He loves us and how merciful and graceful He is with us. Our sins have been paid for by His precious blood. Any condemnation or shame you feel when you make a mistake or sin is an accusation from the enemy and it is false! All you need to do is repent, which means to turn away from it, and turn back to Jesus. That’s it. Whenever I have tried to hide I can always feel Him calling to me very simply in the Spirit, “Come to me.”

Third, and this was a very important lesson for me at this time in my life, the only way forward is by following Him. And it is not all doom and gloom. Following Christ will earn us hatred from the world. We are mocked, persecuted, beaten, and all around hated by the world. However, there are moments of real joy and peace here and they are found in the heart of Jesus Christ. Take time to enjoy the good things the Lord has given you. Your family. Your brothers and sisters in Christ. You know what they are in your own life. Just keep your focus on Jesus.

So, walk with Jesus every day. Talk to Him. Listen to Him. Follow Him wherever He leads you and when you reach the end of the road you can boldly walk into heaven as an old friend of our Lord and Savior. Doesn’t that sound wonderful?

God will fulfill His promises:

²¹ Tell me, you who want to live under the law, do you know what the law actually says? ²² The Scriptures say that Abraham had two sons, one from his slave wife and one from his freeborn wife. ²³ The son of the slave wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfillment of God’s promise. But the son of the freeborn wife was born as God’s own fulfillment of his promise. – Galatians 4:21-23

Walking in the Spirit:

¹⁶ I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. ¹⁷ For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. – Galatians 5:16-17

God rescues us when we fall:

⁴ I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
    He freed me from all my fears.
⁵ Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
    no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
⁶ In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;
    he saved me from all my troubles.
⁷ For the angel of the Lord is a guard;
    he surrounds and defends all who fear him. – Psalm 34:4-7
